Oenops Wines Dots Vindiano 2024
Macedonia, Greece ( 75 cL )
A mountain-grown Vidiano of impressive depth, revealing the elegance and complexity of this distinctive Cretan variety.
Made entirely from Vidiano grown in the mountainous vineyards of Heraklion, Crete, DOTS Vindiano offers a deep and refined expression of this indigenous variety. Spontaneous fermentation in different vessels, followed by 6 to 9 months of ageing, gives the wine generous texture and remarkable complexity, while citrus, white flowers and subtle spice lead into a rich, multidimensional palate supported by lively acidity. A gastronomic white that pairs particularly well with roasted fish, seafood, herb-roasted poultry and refined Mediterranean dishes.
Founded by Nikos Karouzos, Oenops Wines is a Greek winery exploring the richness and diversity of the country’s indigenous grape varieties. Based in Drama, Macedonia, the winery works with partner growers across different regions of Greece to reveal the identity of each grape variety and terroir. Low-intervention winemaking, indigenous yeasts and carefully considered ageing allow Oenops to create vibrant, elegant and authentic wines, with freshness and fruit expression at their core.
